Short Answer
It’s normal for Google Business Profile, Facebook, or Instagram connections to expire. This is driven by each platform’s security rules (not a Rebolt error). Reconnect in Social Media → Settings → Connected Accounts → Reconnect.
Overview
Platforms like Google and Meta regularly invalidate tokens after password changes, security checks, or role/permission updates. Rebolt surfaces a quick Reconnect button so you can re-authorize and keep automation and posting running.
Why This Happens
Password changes on Google, Facebook, or Instagram
Security policy updates from Google/Meta that expire tokens on a schedule
Routine ownership checks by the platforms
Role/permission changes (admins added/removed, Page ownership moved)
How To Reconnect (Step-By-Step)
Do this on a laptop/desktop for the smoothest experience.
Open your Rebolt dashboard → Social Media → Settings.
Under Connected Accounts, find the account showing Disconnected.
Click Reconnect (or Connect) and follow the prompts:
Google Business Profile: Sign in with the same Google account that owns your GBP. Choose the correct location if you manage more than one.
Facebook: Log in with your personal Facebook (normal). On the permission screen, select the correct Business Page.
Instagram: Make sure your Instagram is a Professional/Business account and is linked to the correct Facebook Page, then complete the connection in Rebolt.
When prompted, allow all requested permissions so posting and automation work.
Return to Social Media → Settings and confirm the status shows Connected.
How To Reduce Future Disconnects
Avoid frequent password resets unless necessary.
Keep admin access stable (don’t constantly add/remove managers).
Periodically check Social Media → Settings to confirm connections.
If you manage multiple brands or locations, label your browser profiles and keep the right account logged in during reconnects.
Troubleshooting
“Wrong account” loop: Log out of Google/Facebook in your browser or open an Incognito/Private window, then reconnect using the correct owner account.
Instagram won’t connect: In Instagram, switch to Professional and link it to the correct Facebook Page first, then retry in Rebolt.
Permissions missing: During the reconnect, expand Edit Access/Choose what you allow and enable all requested pages/permissions.
Still failing? Disconnect in Rebolt, clear your browser cache, re-login to the platform directly (GBP/Facebook/Instagram), then try Reconnect again.
