How to create and publish social media posts using the Rebolt Mobile App — a 5-step flow for images, job details, location, preview, and publishing to connected channels.

Article Content:

Overview

The Rebolt Social Media tool is your AI powered Local SEO engine. Posts are created through the Rebolt Mobile App in a simple 5-step flow. Rebolt then publishes to your connected socials (Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram) AND auto-creates a geo-tagged Project blog page on your website.

Why it matters: Social posting activity signals recency to Google, strengthens "service + city" relevance, and gives prospects credible proof of recent work.

Creating a Post (Mobile App)

Posts are completed through the Rebolt Mobile App.

Open the app, tap the icon (bottom right menu option), select Social Media, tap the + button (bottom-right) to start a new post and follow the 5 steps:

Note: There is no "post type" to select when starting a post. You simply tap + and fill in the steps. Whether a Project page gets created on your website is determined at the final Publish step — if you select Website, a geo-tagged Project page is automatically created.

Step 1: Add Images

Tap + to select images from your device or take a new photo with your camera. You can add up to 10 images — drag and drop to reorder them. The first image is what appears on Google Business Profile, so put your best shot first.

Tap Upload when ready.

Step 2: Job Details

Write 1–2 sentences describing the job or project. Rebolt uses this to generate your caption. The more specific, the better.

Tip: Mention something unique: the materials used, a tricky challenge you solved, an interesting location, or a stand-out result. Specifics make captions feel authentic and perform better on social.

Tap Next when ready.

Step 3: Add Location Details

Enter the address or city where the project took place. Rebolt uses this to geo-tag your post and Project page, which improves local search visibility.

Drag the map pin to fine-tune the location if needed, then tap Next.

Step 4: Post Preview

Review the caption Rebolt auto-generated from your job description. From here you can:

  • Edit — tap Edit to manually adjust the caption.

  • Regenerate — tap Regenerate to have Rebolt rewrite it.

When you're happy with the caption, tap Publish.

Step 5: Publish

"Where do you want to publish?" Select one or more of your connected channels:

  • Website — automatically creates a geo-tagged Project page on your Rebolt site. No separate "post type" selection is needed — choosing Website here is what makes it a Project.

  • Google Business Profile — posts directly to your GBP listing.

  • Facebook — posts to your connected Facebook page.

  • Instagram — posts to your connected Instagram account.

You don't have to post to socials. If you just want to add a geo-tagged Project page to your website without posting to Instagram, Facebook, or Google — select Website only at this step. This is the best way to add a past job from mobile without making a social post.

Channels that aren't connected yet will appear greyed out with a "Not connected" label. Connect them in Social Media → Settings.

Tap Publish to go live.

Creating a Post (Desktop)

You can also create posts from the desktop using Reba, Rebolt's AI chat assistant. However, the mobile app flow is recommended — it offers geo-tagging, image reordering, and a full post preview that the desktop flow currently doesn't support.

To post via desktop: open Reba and describe your project. Reba will walk you through the process.

Published Tab

A running log of every post that's live across your connected channels. Each post row shows:

  • Thumbnail on the left.

  • Caption in the middle.

  • Platform icons indicating where the post was published (Google, Instagram, Facebook, Rebolt website).

  • Date and time on the right.

Use this view to confirm distribution, keep messaging consistent, and learn which post styles perform best.

Drafts Tab

Work-in-progress posts that haven't been published yet. The count badge shows how many drafts you have. Each card shows the image preview, caption, and a timestamp. Tap a draft to finish it, or delete ones you no longer want.

Pro Tips

  • Put your best photo first. Google Business Profile only displays the first image, so lead with your strongest shot.

  • Be specific in Job Details. "Replaced all gutters on a 3-story colonial in Austin" generates a much better caption than "gutter job."

  • Always add a location. The geo-tag is what makes your Project page relevant in local search — don't skip it.

  • Post consistently. Cadence matters more than volume. Even once or twice a week compounds significantly over time for Local SEO.

  • Tune the system prompt to shape how every caption sounds — tone, style, hashtags, or phrases you always want included. Find it under Edit System Prompt on the Social Media → Posts page. The system prompt accepts plain text instructions only — it does not support @ merge tags or dynamic fields (those are only available in Automations).

  • Avoid including contact info in captions. Phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs in post captions are frequently rejected by Google Business Profile and can cause posts to fail on other platforms too. Your website and GBP listing already surface your contact details — captions don't need to repeat them.

FAQ

Can I automatically include my phone number in every post?

You can instruct the system prompt to always include your phone number (e.g., "always end every caption with: Call us at 555-123-4567"), but we don't recommend it. Posts containing contact information — phone numbers, emails, or URLs — are frequently rejected by Google Business Profile and may be flagged by other platforms as well. If you're posting to GBP, leave contact info out of captions to avoid failed posts.

Does the system prompt support dynamic fields like @customerPhone?

No. The social media caption system does not support @ merge tags or dynamic fields. Those are only available in the Automations tool. The system prompt accepts plain text instructions only.

Can I post videos to social media?

Not yet — the current social media post flow supports photos only (up to 10 images per post). Video support is on the roadmap and planned for a future release.

In the meantime, you can add videos to your website using the Site Editor via a Video Hero or Video Embed section. Contact support via chat and we'll handle the upload for you if needed.

Can I create a project page on my website without posting to social media?

Yes — on the final Publish step, select Website only and leave the social channels unselected. This creates a geo-tagged Project page on your Rebolt site from the mobile app, without posting anywhere on social media.
