Overview
The Client Portal is a branded, client-facing page Rebolt generates for each of your customers. It's where they can view and approve quotes, pay invoices, see their project history, and refer friends to your business.
The portal is automatically branded with your business name and logo — so it looks like an extension of your business, not a third-party tool.
How Clients Access the Portal
Clients receive a unique portal link automatically when you send them a quote or invoice from Rebolt. Examples of when a link is sent:
When you send a quote for approval
When you send an invoice for payment
When a job appointment is scheduled and the client receives a confirmation
Each link opens directly to the relevant document (quote, invoice, etc.) and also gives the client access to their full portal — no login, no password, no app download required.
Portal links expire after 90 days for security. If a client tries to open an old link, they can reach out to you for a fresh one.
What Clients See
When a client opens their portal, they see a navigation menu with the following sections:
Section | What's Here |
Home | Overview of their account with your business — logo, branding, and a summary of activity. |
Requests | Any service requests the client has submitted through your website lead form, and their status. |
Projects | Past completed jobs published as projects — with photos, descriptions, and a map of your work in their area. |
Quotes | All quotes sent to this client, including any pending approval. Clients can approve, decline, or request changes directly here. |
Invoices | All invoices — open, paid, and overdue. Clients can pay outstanding invoices directly from this tab. |
Request a Service | A shortcut to submit a new service request to your business. |
Write a Review | A one-tap prompt to leave a Google review for your business. |
Refer a Friend | A form for the client to refer someone they know to your business (see below). |
Approving Quotes
When a client opens a quote in the portal, they see a full interactive quote — not a static PDF. From here they can:
Review all line items, pricing, and totals.
Select or deselect optional items — optional line items appear pre-checked so clients can see the full scope. They can uncheck anything they don't want; the total adjusts automatically.
View any attachments you've added (e.g., PDF scope of work, terms and conditions).
See your business's reviews and past projects alongside the quote — social proof built right in.
Approve the quote with a digital signature.
Request Changes — sends a change request message back to you.
Reject the quote.
Client identity verification: Before sensitive actions — like approving a quote, paying an invoice, or updating a saved payment method — clients may be prompted to confirm their phone number or email address once. This is a one-time verification per session that protects both you and your client.
When a client approves, the quote status in your Rebolt dashboard updates to Approved instantly.
Refer a Friend
The Refer a Friend section lets happy clients pass your name along to someone they know. When a client submits a referral, they enter:
The referral's full name
Phone number
Email address
Any notes (optional context about the referral)
The referral then comes in as a new lead in your Rebolt CRM — ready for you to follow up with. It's a natural word-of-mouth loop: a client has great work done, a friend asks who did it, and they send them directly your way through the portal.
Preview the Portal as Your Client
You can see exactly what your client sees before sending anything. This is useful for quality-checking how a quote looks from the client's perspective.
To preview a quote as a client:
Go to Quotes in the left nav.
Find the quote you want to preview.
Click the three-dot menu (⋯) on the right side of the quote row.
Select View as client.
This opens the portal exactly as your client would see it — including line items, optional items, attachments, reviews, and the Approve/Reject/Request Changes buttons.
