How to export your data from Joist.

Welcome to Rebolt! To ensure a seamless transition and keep your business running smoothly, you’ll need to export your current data from Joist. This guide outlines the specific steps and files required to move your information into the Rebolt CRM.


Before You Begin


To ensure complete compatibility with Rebolt, all files must be exported in CSV format.

Note on Joist Exports: Joist currently exports data in monthly increments. To ensure a complete migration, you will need to repeat the export process for each month you wish to bring over to Rebolt.


1. Export Your Clients & Documents


Joist allows you to export basic Estimate and Invoice data, which includes your client names and contact details, via their web portal.

  1. Log into your Joist account on a Desktop or Laptop computer via the Joist website.

  2. Go to the Estimates or Invoices section from the left-hand column.

  3. Click the grey Export button at the top right of the screen.

  4. Select the specific month you would like to export.

  5. A .CSV file will be downloaded to your computer.

  6. Repeat this process for each month of data you need to migrate.

Information Included in Export:

  • Client Name

  • Estimate / Invoice #

  • Date Created / Issued

  • Subtotal, Tax, and Total

2. Final Steps: Submitting Your Data


Once you have gathered your monthly CSV files, please follow these steps to complete your migration:

  • Contact Support: Reach out to the Rebolt Support team via Chat or email at [email protected].

  • Attach Your Files: Attach all downloaded .CSV files from Joist.

  • Request Import: Ask our team to begin the manual import process.

Data Structure Requirements:

  • Client Names must be present to associate history correctly.

  • Document Numbers (Estimate/Invoice #) are critical for maintaining your service history records.

  • Our team handles the data upload manually to ensure everything maps correctly to your new Rebolt account.
