After you connect your GBP, the Optimizer shows a Profile Score and a prioritized list of Things to improve. As you complete items, the score updates in real time so you can see progress instantly.


What the Optimizer Checks


Common recommendations you may see:

  • Business Description: Include at least one service and one service area; keep it within 250–750 characters for clarity.

  • Categories: Choose a precise primary category and add 2+ additional categories that reflect your offerings.

  • Service Areas: Add 5+ service areas you actively cover.

  • Photos: Upload 5+ recent photos. It works best with authentic job photos.

  • Reviews: Reply to customer reviews to boost engagement and trust.

Click Start Optimizing Now to begin; each task links to the field you need to update.


Step‑by‑Step


  1. Connect Business Profile (if you haven’t yet) from the main GBP Optimizer page.

  2. Open Optimizer to view your Profile Score.

  3. Work through Things to improve in order, save changes as you go.

  4. Refresh the Optimizer to see your updated score and remaining tasks.
