Connect Your Other Calendars to Rebolt

How to connect Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar, or any ICS feed to your Rebolt schedule so you can see all your events in one place.

💻 Platform Availability: Desktop only — calendar connections are set up on desktop; connected calendar events are visible on the mobile schedule view once connected

What are calendar integrations?

Calendar integrations pull events from external calendars into your Rebolt Schedule. They show your external appointments on the same screen as your Rebolt jobs, so you get a full picture of your day in one view.

They don't move Rebolt jobs into Google or Outlook — they only bring external events into Rebolt. Those external events are read-only on the schedule, meaning you can see them but Rebolt won't change them.

Open the Calendars side panel on Schedule to see everything. Your Rebolt jobs appear under Rebolt, and connected external calendars appear under Other.

What types we support

Rebolt supports two ways to connect a calendar:

Type

Best for

How you connect

Google Calendar

You use Google for work or personal calendar

Click Connect Google Calendar and sign in

Calendar by URL (ICS)

Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any app that gives you a share link

Click Add calendar by URL and paste the link

Note: We don't have a Connect Outlook button yet. If you use Outlook, use the calendar-by-URL method described below.

How syncing works

Google Calendar

After you sign in, Rebolt finds your calendars — you may see Discovering calendars… for a moment. The first sync pulls your recent and upcoming events, covering about the last week and the next several months.

After that, Google tells Rebolt when something changes, so updates usually show up quickly. You'll see Syncing… on the calendar row while a sync is running.

Calendar by URL (ICS)

You paste a calendar link into Rebolt, and Rebolt checks that the link works. You'll see Validating… while it checks, then the first sync runs right away — events usually show up in a minute or two.

After that, Rebolt checks the link once per day for changes. URL calendars don't update as fast as Google Calendar, so new events may take up to a day to appear.

Both types

Events you mark private in the source calendar show as Busy in Rebolt — we hide the title and details to protect your privacy. Use the eye icon to hide or show a calendar on the schedule.

If sync breaks, you'll see a Reconnect button and may get an email asking you to reconnect.

Connect Google Calendar

  1. Open Schedule in your Rebolt dashboard on desktop.

  2. Click the Calendars icon in the toolbar.

  3. Click Add calendar account.

  4. Click Connect Google Calendar.

  5. Sign in with your Google account and click Allow when Google asks for calendar access.

  6. You'll land back on Schedule and an account details window will open.

  7. Wait for Discovering calendars… to finish.

  8. Choose which calendars to show using the eye icons, and pick a color if you want.

  9. Click Done — your events will appear on the schedule.

Troubleshooting

  • Clicked Cancel on Google? Try again from Add calendar account.

  • Don't see your calendars? Make sure you signed into the right Google account.

This uses Google's secure sign-in — you never give Rebolt your Google password.

Connect a calendar by URL (ICS)

Before you start

You need a share link from your calendar app. The link usually starts with https:// or webcal://. Private calendars often won't work unless your app gives you a secret link — only share calendar links with people and apps you trust.

Steps in Rebolt

  1. Get your calendar link using one of the guides below.

  2. Open Schedule on desktop, click the Calendars icon, then Add calendar account.

  3. Click Add calendar by URL and paste the full link.

  4. Click Add calendar.

  5. When you see Calendar connected, click Done and wait a minute or two for events to appear.

How to get your link — Google Calendar

You'll need a computer for this — Google doesn't show these settings in the phone app.

  1. Open Google Calendar on a computer.

  2. On the left, hover over the calendar you want and click the three dots (⋮) → Settings and sharing.

  3. Scroll to Integrate calendar.

  4. Copy Secret address in iCal format (keeps details private) or Public address in iCal format (requires making the calendar public first).

  5. Paste that link into Rebolt.

How to get your link — Outlook / Microsoft 365

  1. Open Outlook Calendar on the web: outlook.live.com/calendar.

  2. Click the gear icon (Settings), then go to Calendar → Shared calendars.

  3. Under Publish a calendar, pick your calendar.

  4. Choose Can view when I'm busy (recommended) or Can view all details.

  5. Click Publish, copy the ICS link, and paste it into Rebolt.

How to get your link — Apple Calendar (iCloud)

  1. Open iCloud Calendar in a browser.

  2. Find your calendar and click the share (person) icon next to it.

  3. Turn on Public Calendar — only do this if you're OK sharing that calendar publicly.

  4. Copy the link Apple gives you (it may start with webcal://, which Rebolt accepts) and paste it into Rebolt.

Other calendar apps

Look for words like Subscribe, Share link, iCal, ICS, Export calendar, or Calendar URL. If the link ends in .ics or starts with webcal://, it will usually work.

Try it: US Federal Holidays (practice calendar)

Want to see how this works before connecting a personal calendar? Use this public test feed — no personal data needed.

URL: https://www.officeholidays.com/ics-fed/usa

Walkthrough

  1. Go to Schedule → Calendars → Add calendar account → Add calendar by URL on desktop.

  2. Paste: https://www.officeholidays.com/ics-fed/usa

  3. Click Add calendar, then Done when you see Calendar connected.

  4. Wait a minute or two. You should see holidays like New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day on the schedule.

  5. In the Calendars panel under Other, look for US Federal Holidays (or a similar name).

  6. Click the settings icon to change color, or the eye icon to hide or show the feed on the schedule.

This is a safe way to test the feature before connecting a personal calendar.

Managing connected calendars

Hide or show a calendar: Click the eye icon on the row in the Calendars panel, or use the eye icons inside account settings.

Change color: Click the settings (gear) icon on the calendar row and pick a color from the palette.

Disconnect: Open account settings and click Disconnect.

Reconnect: If sync fails, click Reconnect. For Google, you'll go through sign-in again. For a calendar by URL, Rebolt opens the add-by-URL flow so you can paste the link again.

FAQ

Can I connect a calendar from the mobile app?

No — calendar connections are set up on desktop only. Once connected, the events from your external calendar will be visible on the Schedule in the mobile app, but the initial connection and any changes must be done on desktop.

Can Rebolt edit my Google Calendar?

No — Rebolt only reads your calendar events. It can't add, change, or delete events in Google or other apps.

Why don't my Outlook events update right away?

Calendars connected by URL sync once per day, so they don't update instantly like Google Calendar.

Why does an event say "Busy"?

The source calendar marked that event as private. Rebolt hides the title and details to protect your privacy.

I don't see "Add calendar account". What should I do?

You may need to be added as a team member on your site first, or the feature may not be turned on for your business yet. Contact your Rebolt admin if you need help.
